This policy explains what BestCityQuotes.com does with information when you visit this page. It covers this page and our own click tracking. It does not cover the quote request website you are taken to afterwards — see “When you click through” below.

Who we are

BestCityQuotes.com is operated by Aptitude Media Inc, 2407 S Congress Ave, STE E-135, Austin, TX 78704. We are an advertising and referral website. We are not a contractor, we do not perform remodeling work, and we do not provide estimates ourselves.

What we collect on this page

This page has no forms, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask you for your name, address, phone number, email address, or any other personal detail, and we do not store any such information from this page.

Two things do process limited technical information about your visit: the advertising pixel described next, and — when you select the button — our own click tracking system, described under “When you click through.”

Advertising and measurement

We advertise on OpenAI’s advertising platform. To measure whether those ads work, this page loads an advertising pixel provided by OpenAI. That pixel may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page you are viewing, the time of your visit, and an advertising identifier associating your visit with the ad you clicked.

We use this only to measure advertising performance — for example, how many people who clicked an ad went on to request estimates.

Cookies and similar technologies

The advertising pixel described above may set or read cookies or similar identifiers on your device. We do not use cookies for any other purpose on this page. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

When you click through

When you select “Get my free estimate,” you leave this page and pass through a click tracking system that we operate ourselves, at the domain apttrk.com. It is ours, not a third party’s. It records the click — the time, your IP address, your browser and device type, labels identifying which ad and which version of this page you came from, and the advertising click identifier described above — and assigns your click a reference number. We use this to measure which ads produce results.

You are then taken to a quote request service operated by Best Quotes Corp, Inc. at bestquotes.com. Any information you enter there — including your contact details and project details — is collected by that company under their own privacy policy and their own terms, not ours. We do not control that service, we do not receive the contents of the form, and we cannot answer questions about how they handle your data. Please read their privacy policy before providing information.

What comes back to us

If that company accepts your request as a valid enquiry, it notifies our tracking system. That notification contains the reference number assigned to your click and the fee payable to us. It does not contain your name, phone number, email address, or anything else you typed into their form.

We pass a signal to OpenAI’s advertising platform recording that the click resulted in an accepted enquiry, identified by the advertising click identifier described above. That signal carries no contact details. We do this so the advertising platform can direct our ads toward people who find them genuinely useful, rather than toward clicks alone.

How we are paid

We are paid a referral fee by our partner when a visitor we refer submits a qualifying quote request. This does not change what you pay, and we are not paid by you.

Sharing

We do not sell the contents of any form, because we do not collect any. The advertising pixel described above, and the conversion signal described under “What comes back to us,” share technical information about your visit with OpenAI for measurement purposes. Depending on where you live, that sharing may be treated as “sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising” or as a “sale” under state privacy law.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion or correction of it, to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Requests about the information you typed into the quote form should go to the company that operates it, since we never receive it. To reach us about the advertising measurement and click tracking described above — both of which we operate — contact us using the details below.

Children

This site is intended for adults considering home improvement work. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
